Is joining a fraternity expensive?

No, Spring Rush is open to all current undergraduate students, regardless of class year. Fraternities often take sophomores and even juniors as part of their spring pledge classes.Can I still rush even though I already signed a lease for next year?
Yes, although living in a fraternity house is encouraged and can enhance your Greek experience, it is not a requirement for joining a fraternity. Many students who have already signed leases and housing contracts choose to rush and pledge a fraternity.
What’s the story with hazing?
Cornell has a strict anti-hazing policy by which all fraternities and sororities must abide. Hazing is not a part of the Greek experience at Cornell, and there is zero tolerance for such conduct. To learn more about Cornell’s hazing prevention effort, visit www.hazing.cornell.edu.
